University of São Paulo – Universidade de São Paulo (USP) – is the largest public university in Brazil and it is ranked as one of the best universities in the world – QS World University Ranking. It develops a large number of Brazilian masters and doctors who work in higher education and research institutes. It is a public and free university, with open access for students selected by the “vestibular” (Brazilian entrance exams for universities). Many of these students, after graduation, hold strategic and leading functions in different segments of public and private industries. USP is distributed across seven campuses that comprise 42 learning and research units, four hospitals, four museums and six specialised institutes. FZEA


School of Animal Science and Food Engineering – Faculdade de Zootecnia e Engenharia de Alimentos (FZEA) – was created in 1992 in Pirassununga, and it is one of the most important center of Agricultural Sciences in Brazil, whose highlights include tropical pasture of annual crops, several facilities for animal production, slaughterhouse, cold storage room and dairy plant. FZEA also has modern laboratories, equipments, facilities operated by well-qualified professors and technicians, and a modern library with specialized collections in order to excel in its services.


FZEA’s school is highly qualified and made up of Ph.D. professors developing research in several areas of knowledge. Undergraduate and graduate students have significant participation in these research projects, which is essential for their academic development.

Provided with privileged working conditions, School of Animal Science and Food Engineering has granted its target addressees (students, researchers, ranchers, industries and other representative of the agribusiness chain) with high quality services, being expressively inserted in this market. The FZEA is composed by technicians and administrative specialists allocated in five departments.
